In the rearview mirror:
“…for it is God who works in you to will and to act in order to fulfill his good purpose.” Philippians 2:13
Regardless of how I feel about my performance or the way I’ve lived my life story over the past several decades, God has been faithfully accomplishing his purpose in me. I am hearing in my inner man that he has not missed a beat, and he has been working out his will. He has been looking after fulfilling the agreements that he and I have made over the years. He has saved up every prayer. He hasn’t missed a moment of consecration, a moment of inviting me into something, and of my surrender to the process. He receives my offerings of consecration and surrender, regardless of the size of my faith. The Holy Spirit has always been looking after God’s design in me, his purpose for me and the alignment of my life with God’s kingdom agenda on earth as it is in heaven. King Jesus, this feels very powerful. We surrender to what you’re saying to us right now. We pray that your word will embrace us and speak to us. We live by every word that comes out of your mouth. AMEN

Prayers:
Spirit of God, here again is the soil of my life. Because you desire the voluntary surrender of the whole garden of my being, my YES is a forever-open door to your forever ownership of my flourishing on earth as it is in heaven. Draw me deeper into your purpose as we do the hard work of gardening in me, every step filled with the joy of your company. AMEN
Triune God, prayers and the regular practice of intercession have been part of my life story even before the day of my birth. I have known wins and losses, and much learning through trial and error. TODAY, I confess that your ways have always been far superior to my ways. On earth, you have designed me to be united with your kingdom ways in Christ. I surrender to you, the River of Life, so that your grace will bring me fully to life for your glory. AMEN
Spirit of God, my heart is set on following you TODAY. I will be filled with the grace and joy of union with you through Christ as I surrender to your agenda on earth as it is in heaven. On my own, I would be taken out so quickly. But, because of your constant attentiveness to me, I don’t need to give up or even hesitate in fear. Bring glory to your name through all I do in this day. Your love sustains me in every way. AMEN
Triune God, your purpose for all Creation defines, refines, inspires, fills, deepens, multiplies, and redeems everything. And, our lives have heaven and earth meaning because we are hidden with Christ in the communion of who you are, Sovereign LORD. AMEN
